Applications are now being accepted for Vice President, Director positions and Treasurer, on the 2022-23 Harvard Extension Student Management and Finance Club (HESMFC)'s Board.

ABOUT THE APPLICATION
All board members MUST be degree candidates within HES. The following provides a general description of each elected position.
Vice President (approx. time commitment: 7-9 hours per month)
Responsible for supporting the President in fulfilling their responsibilities, including formulating and executing the vision of the club, engaging all board officers throughout the year to fulfill their duties, acting as club representative at external events/functions, and representing the club in official matters when the President is not available.
Treasurer (approx. time commitment: 2-4 hours per month)
Responsible for financial reporting, purchasing, reimbursement and managing the club budget, and following through on fundraising opportunities. Collaborate with other officers on special projects.
Director of Operations - SECRETARY (approx. time commitment: 4-6 hours per month)
Responsible for maintaining club records including internal processes, note taking during meetings, assisting with club elections, coordinating monthly board meetings, and supporting Director of Events with events schedule.
Director of Events (approx. time commitment: 6-8 hours per month)
Responsible for idea generation, creating and managing event subcommittees (where applicable), helping to book space for events, identifying opportunities for co-promotion, ensuring coordination with other club officers (Communications, IT, Treasury, Distance Integration) for hosting events.
Director of Communication (approx. time commitment: 4-6 hours per month)
Responsible for developing annual communication plan in collaboration with President and Vice President, designing content of club newsletter, promoting events via social media platforms (i.e. LinkedIn and Facebook), aligning with Distance Integration on shared platform messaging, facilitating E-journal submission process, and reviewing E-journal with club advisors and board officers.
Director of IT (approx. time commitment: 4-6 hours per month)
Responsible for designing and maintaining club-related technological infrastructure including website and database, and collaborating with all board officers on email related communications to HESMFC community.
Director of Distance Integration (approx. time commitment: 4-6 hours per month)
Responsible for ensuring majority of HESMFC activities are accessible to distance students, globally connecting with students via current chat platform (WhatsApp), and promoting club events in this space. Aligning with Communications on shared platform messaging. Added bonus: Graphic design experience to create event flyers and announcements.
Director of Entrepreneurship (approx. time commitment: 4-6 hours per month)
Responsible for creating or identifying networking opportunities focused on entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial investing. Networking opportunities include but are not limited to Harvard entrepreneurial activities such as Harvard’s iLab and HBS’s Rock Center, and Boston area entrepreneurial organizations such as MIT and Boston New Technology.
